This course is aimed at young graduates, professionals in trade and logistics, or people in career transition, seeking to acquire the skills needed to work as a customs declarant and support import-export operations. That's why it offers comprehensive training in customs procedures and transit operations, covering international trade regulations, preparing customs declarations, managing import-export formalities, and using dedicated IT tools, enabling participants to effectively support businesses and economic operators in their customs operations.

Introduction to international trade and the role of customs Legal and regulatory framework of customs in Burkina Faso and the UEMOA/ECOWAS region Customs regimes: import, export, transit, warehousing Tariff nomenclature and classification of goods Calculating customs duties and taxes (customs value, tariff) Preparing and filing a customs declaration Transport and accompanying documents for goods (bill of lading, invoice, certificate of origin) Using customs IT systems (SYDONIA or equivalent) Customs clearance procedures and controls International transit and cross-border transport logistics Relations with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and carriers Case study and simulation of a customs clearance operation
Prérequis
Minimum BAC level recommended. Strong administrative rigor, organizational skills, and an interest in international trade are required. Good command of French is necessary; basic English is a plus.
