Description

This course is aimed at young graduates in finance, IT, or business, as well as people in career transition, seeking to acquire the skills needed to work in the fast-growing digital financial services and fintech ecosystem in West Africa. That's why it offers comprehensive training in digital financial services, covering mobile money, electronic payments, financial inclusion solutions, and sector innovations (blockchain, banking APIs, financial cybersecurity), enabling participants to understand, use, and support the deployment of fintech solutions adapted to the local context.

Objectifs pédagogiques

-Understand the digital finance and fintech ecosystem in West Africa -Master how mobile money and electronic payments work -Know the industry players and regulations (BCEAO, e-money institutions) -Understand the principles of financial inclusion and digital microcredit -Discover emerging technologies applied to finance (blockchain, cryptocurrencies, APIs) -Identify security and fraud risks in digital financial services -Use digital tools for financial management and tracking -Design a simple fintech product or service addressing a local need

Programme détaillé

-Introduction to digital finance and the fintech ecosystem -Mobile money: how it works, key players, and uses (Orange Money, Moov Money, Wave) -Electronic payments and system interoperability -Regulatory framework for digital finance (BCEAO, UEMOA, e-money institutions) -Financial inclusion and digital microfinance -Introduction to blockchain and cryptocurrencies -Banking APIs and interconnection of financial services (open banking) -Transaction security and financial fraud prevention -Data and credit scoring in fintech -Digital tools for personal and entrepreneurial financial management -Sector trends and innovations (neobanks, agritech-finance, insurtech) -Case study and design of a simple fintech project

Prérequis

A minimum BAC level is recommended. Comfort with digital tools and an interest in finance and new technologies are required. Basic knowledge of business or IT is a plus.
