This course provides participants with essential financial and accounting management skills adapted to the nonprofit and NGO sector. It covers general accounting, budget management, donor funding follow-up, and financial reporting, in line with the specific regulatory requirements and transparency standards of NGOs and associations.

Introduction to general accounting: principles and standards Accounting specifics of NGOs and associations The nonprofit chart of accounts and basic accounting documents Developing and monitoring a forecast budget Managing donor funding (grants, project calls) Financial justification and reporting to donors Internal control and financial risk management Cash flow and liquidity management Financial statements: balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement Financial audit and regulatory obligations for the nonprofit sector Accounting management software tools (spreadsheets, accounting software) Case study and practical budget closing exercises
Prérequis
Level BAC/BAC+ -Regular use of a computer and office tools (especially Excel). -An interest in the nonprofit or humanitarian sector is a plus.
