Digital Skills and AI at the Heart of Every EPA Training Program

At EPA_BURKINA, we firmly believe that no profession today can do without a basic command of digital tools. That is why we have chosen to integrate a common module on computer skills and artificial intelligence into all of our training programs, whatever field the learner is pursuing, from humanitarian action to project management and beyond. This cross-cutting module has a simple goal: to bring every learner's basic digital skills up to speed, regardless of their background. Office software, effective internet use, an introduction to generative AI tools, and good digital practices are now part of the foundation offered to every student from the very start of their training. We know that the professional world is changing fast. Employers, whether in the humanitarian sector, civil society, or the private sector, now expect their staff to be comfortable with digital tools and able to adapt to new technologies, including AI. By building this module into the common core of our programs, EPA aims to give every learner across our three centers in Ouagadougou, Bobo-Dioulasso, and Dori a real head start on the job market. This approach reflects our ongoing commitment to keeping our training aligned with real-world realities and current employer expectations. We will continue to develop this module as needs evolve, so that every EPA graduate leaves not only skilled in their chosen field, but also confident with the digital tools of today.
